leander is really fond of owls, and just has a knack for getting along with birds in general.
okay, let me break this down!
leander and nadine are twins, leander being the elder by a few minutes. they have four much older brothers who have had virtually no involvement with the twins’ lives. marcel isn’t biologically related to them at all—he’s the second prince of a neighbouring country on something like diplomatic loan, “hosted” by the twins’ family. he’s an adult, but technically speaking, he’s also the twins’ foster brother, so the two of him refer to him as such (the fact that he actually gives a shit about them helps). does that make sense sdkfjd
